This is a portrait of courage and sacrifice, a story that will live on in infamy. It was a blustery day in Late March. Twelve of us were dropped in the Teton mountains to contain the raging fire, but only three came back...
actually, we were just burning some brush outside of town and decided to take a silly picture with my friend Jon who is walking out of the smoke. we are doing some work in the Tetons later this year, but I doubt we will be fighting fires!

This is a photo of me with my co-leader, Heidi. Heidi is from up-state New York. We dressed up as the crocodile hunter and his wife for a costume thing at our leadership training and we won first prize! We wrestled a stuffed cow since there aren't any crocodiles in Montana, but it was still a hoot and a holler.
Soon Heidi and I will get to select the members we want on our crew and the real adventures will begin
