this is my crew. They are a good crew. They work hard and take initiative. It makes my job easier. From left to right are: Kyle, Scott, Ben, Rachel and Katrina.
hey, this is me with my co-leader Heidi at a place called "Cowboy Heaven". We spent nine days backpacking and repairing trails and enjoyin' the scenery. One of our crew members hurt her knee and had to be evacuated on horseback. That's Montana for ya'. It's amazing how perspectives on life change after spending nine days away from any civilization.

Sighting the fall line of a doug fir tree that is about to crash to the Earth. I had my reservations about cutting down such massive and old trees at first, but there are so many of these trees in Montana, it really is something to see. The forest needs to be thinned and the trail needs to be cleared for pack animals.

This photo is a bit too tough, but the angle was good. This is one of the amazing 10,000 ft mountains around Bozeman and they are only 20 minutes or so from my house
I was proud to be a part of the "1st Annual Run to Save Pluto" As some of you nerds may know, Pluto recently lost its status as our solar systems ninth planet. It is now a dwarf planet, a travesty. That is why we took to the streets on this Sunday in Bozeman to raise awareness (and be ridiculous because that's what people are in this whitebread mountain yuppie town!)
Hey, I am sideways. that's cool. And I am stuck in my wetsuite! This is at Big Hole National Battlefield.
